Radar Underground Agenda: Barcelona Events September 2026

Barcelona Events September 2026 by Radar Underground

September in Barcelona leaves no room to catch your breath. This month’s line-up mixes an established festival circuit (BAM), unmissable dates on the post-punk and darkwave calendar, historic returns (The Damned, The Sisters of Mercy) and the BarnaDark Fest III. In the middle of it all, September 27th marks a date of our own: Other Voices launches its app at Klub Kissa, limited capacity, with guest DJ Vitorio Testa. Here’s the month, week by week.

Opening weekend: from britpop to darkwave with no transition

The month kicks off hard on Saturday 5th, with Sala Magic hosting the VISORFEST launch party (Viktor Ollé + Siamiss DJ, britpop and indie from 6pm) while Lennon’s Club dedicates the afternoon to a Depeche Mode Tardeo Special Classics Party. Sala Padró adds the Spellbond Sessions with a DJ set from Dispël and Alice Hale (alt rock, indie, post-punk and synthpop, €5 door), and Sala Vol marks its eighth anniversary with Powerburkas and .bd running through punk rock, garage and power pop. For the darkest register of the night, Sala Laut delivers: Days of Sorrow and Self Secrets, straight post-punk and darkwave from 9pm.

Sunday 6th eases off with Danwie’s vermut DJ set at Lab65 (brit music, 1:30pm), and Monday 7th picks the pace back up at La Deskomunal with Grade 2 and Hekate Heads in punk rock mode. Thursday 10th comes in loaded: Inner Dog (UK), Seibiant and The Lions Constellation at Sala Taro span indie rock, shoegaze, hardcore and noise pop, while Sala Razzmatazz 3 hosts Headsend (grunge, alt rock) and Manchester Bar runs its Playa Gótica with a DJ set from Greek Dogs Play Records, free entry.

Second weekend: German EBM and post-punk’s full weight

Friday 11th brings two heavyweight dates: Christine Plays Viola (Italy) alongside Darklands at Freedonia (post-punk, gothic rock, 8:30pm) and, in parallel, Das Ich (Germany) with Siva Six (Greece) at Sala Upload — a darkwave, industrial, EBM and electro dark bill that’s hard to overlook.

Saturday 12th packs in most of the weekend: Fatima Ferdinand’s vermut DJ set at Lab65 (post-punk, indie rock, new wave), Gambeat Weekend with Kate Clover and Fuera de Sektor at Sala Parallel 62 Club, Hey! Indie Pop Club with Luis Le Nuit and Nacho Ruiz at Sala Taro, and Magnífico Club’s Tequila Rock Club (Oscar Moon & Waaax) at Sala Magic. Sala Upload adds more fuel that same night with Buenos Vampiros (post-punk, new wave, dream pop) and Ruïnosa y las Strippers de Rahola in subnopunk travesti mode. On top of that, Studio 54’s 46th anniversary brings Devotional Mode, a Depeche Mode tribute, to Sala Parallel 62.

Sunday 13th keeps the momentum going with Doble o Nada (Engels + Whitehole) at Diobar, while Manchester Bar programmes Resultados Rítmicos with Larsovitch across post-punk, coldwave and minimal wave.

Heading toward the 18th: Actors’ week

From Thursday 17th to Friday 18th, the calendar concentrates on key rooms in the circuit: B-Movie at Sala Upload (synthpop, post-punk, new wave), Mona et Toi at Sala Vol (noir indie-grunge) and another Playa Gótica at Manchester Bar, this time with a DJ set from AMQN, free entry. Friday 18th closes the week with one of the month’s most anticipated dates: Actors + Hallows at Sala Wolf, post-punk, new wave and synthpop from 9:15pm.

19th to 20th: the busiest weekend of the month

Saturday 19th is, without exaggeration, the single busiest day of the whole month. Sala Vol programmes Miss Penas, La Chica Esta and Ira Digital (electronic post-punk, alt rock, indie); Sala Slow adds Cedar, Violet Mistake and Newborn Ghost (post-punk, darkwave, shoegaze); La Deskomunal hosts Not Scientists’ 2026 tour; and Sala Razzmatazz 3 runs the night’s most ambitious bill with Pre-Human 8BM: Belgrado, Fotocopia, Shakti, Ultramega, Ca de Bestiar and You Won’t Fear Them live, plus a DJ set from Gloria a Arstotzka, covering post-punk, synthwave, EBM, industrial and darkwave.

At the same time, Garage 442 runs Spit It Out, the BarnaDark Fest III pre-party, with DJs DreamWatch (UK), Digital Breath, Doomzdei, Nocte and AmyLadyGoth, free entry, synthpop, darkwave, dark disco, post-punk and EBM into the small hours. For a more explicitly gothic register, there’s the Zombie Party from Dj Luismi & Dj Lady Stardust at Undead Dark Club (death rock, goth rock, post-punk). Sunday 20th closes the block with the Common People Party and the return of Young & Furious, spread across several Razzmatazz rooms.

Final week: BAM, The Damned’s return and the Other Voices app launch

The last stretch of September combines the BAM festival (Barcelona Acció Musical) with several of the month’s most significant shows. On Wednesday 23rd, Sunflowers play Rambla del Raval as part of the BAM programme (art punk, free entry), while La 126 takes over Moll de la Fusta. On Friday 25th, the festival moves to Plaça de Catalunya with The Slates and Sandré, and Sala Razzmatazz 2 hosts Transvision Vamp.

Saturday 26th is another packed date: BarnaDark Fest III arrives at Sala Slow with Mylla Issues, Moth Slut, Larva and Hasswutt (synthpop, darkwave, EBM, post-punk, electro-industrial, electro-metal), BAM closes its Acció Cultura Viva cycle at Fabra i Coats with free shoegaze and dream-pop, and Sala Apolo books Brigitte Calls Me Baby. That same night, The Damned play Sala Razzmatazz 2 (punk rock, gothic rock, post-punk, new wave) — a return that belongs on any serious gig guide this season.

Sunday 27th is the date circled in red. Other Voices launches its app at Klub Kissa from 7pm, with guest DJ Vitorio Testa spinning post-punk, darkwave, synthpop and gothic. Free entry, very limited capacity: get there early if you want in. The same day, Nevermind Bar runs Global Discontent in punk rock mode.

The month wraps with two heavyweight dates on Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th: Drug Church alongside Nunnery at La Nau (hardcore-punk) and The Sisters of Mercy at Sala Parallel 62, gothic rock and post-punk at full strength to close out September.

What shouldn’t slip through the cracks

With this much happening at once, a handful of dates stand above the rest: Das Ich + Siva Six on the 11th, Actors + Hallows on the 18th, the 19th–20th overload with Pre-Human 8BM and the BarnaDark Fest III pre-party, and the month’s close with The Damned and The Sisters of Mercy. And, of course, the Other Voices app launch on the 27th — a calendar date that doubles as a milestone for the publication itself.
