Barcelona Events May 2026 by Radar Underground
May arrives packed with live music in Barcelona, and once again Radar Underground has done the hard work of mapping the city’s alternative circuit.
From darkwave, post-punk and EBM to shoegaze, punk and synthpop, this month’s agenda moves through venues like Freedonia, Sala Upload, Razzmatazz, Manchester Bar and Sala Laut.
A mix of international tours, local underground names and club nights that keep Barcelona’s dark scene alive.
Here’s our monthly selection.

Featured events
Priest + Dead Lights
May 8 — Sala Upload
One of the strongest synth-driven nights of the month. Dark electro, synthpop and EBM with one of Sweden’s most consistent acts in the scene.
Spit It Out: Dark Session
May 9 — Sala Garage 442
A full darkwave and synthpop DJ session featuring Nocte, Elbereth and AmyLadyGoth. A proper club night for those who prefer the dancefloor over the stage.

Euroshima + Malefixio
May 16 — Freedonia
One of the clearest darkwave/post-punk bills this month. Strong gothic energy and a natural fit for the Other Voices crowd.
SDH + Tvnel + Infanta
May 22 — Sala Vol
Minimal synth, EBM and synthpop. Easily one of the month’s most solid electronic lineups.

Molchat Doma
May 28 — Razzmatazz
No introduction needed. One of the biggest names in contemporary post-punk returns to Barcelona.
Public Image Ltd + The Gulps
May 29 — Razzmatazz 2
A major date for post-punk history. Seeing John Lydon’s project live is always worth it.
Autoamor + Ca De Bestiar + Darklands
May 30 — Sala Slow
Darkwave, post-punk and industrial punk closing the month the right way.
