You Won’t Fear Them debut single “Una sola”: feminist synth-punk in Italian from Barcelona
You Won’t Fear Them is the live project of Emilia Celona, an Italian composer, vocalist and producer based in Barcelona. Her first single, “Una sola”, arrives on 30 October with a video and previews “A wider spectrum”, the debut album due on 11 December. Other Voices heard it first and it is already playing on Other Voices Radio.
You Won’t Fear Them: from the DJ booth to the stage
Emilia has spent more than a decade DJing as Omvra, and her work also covers composition for dance pieces and sound installations. You Won’t Fear Them is her move into live performance, and the club background shows. The sequences are analogue and the rhythms run fast, with an abrasive tension underneath that links punk anger to bright synthwave melodies.
“Una sola”: a darkwave bassline, a cheesy keyboard and a punk voice
The track opens very darkwave, with the kind of bassline that hooks you from the first note. A voiceover introduces the song and the rest of the band slides in over that line until it fills the room. The structure is simple.
The most interesting moment comes with the keyboard, very catchy synthwave, which collides head-on with Emilia’s voice. She sings in Italian, her mother tongue, with an uncompromising punk attitude. The contrast is not hidden, it is put up front, and that is what makes the single work.
The lyric is a direct, pointed feminist anthem, sung from anger and sisterhood. The Italian plays in its favour: even without the language, the message lands through the delivery. As a first taste of an album, “Una sola” does its job, because it leaves you wanting the whole record.
The video: feminist archive and the streets of Barcelona
The video is directed by Dársena Agencia Creativa and premieres on 30 October at 09:00 on the project’s YouTube channel. It combines historical footage of feminist struggles with a collective action through the streets of Barcelona: a takeover of public space built on celebration and on freedom shared between women.
The approach makes sense. The song’s anger leaves the studio and becomes urban catharsis, while the archive gives history to what the lyric shouts.

The album is released on 11 December 2026 on vinyl and digitally through Bandcamp. It will be available to stream on most platforms, with two exceptions: Spotify and Amazon, left out by the artist’s personal choice. It is an unusual stance for a debut and worth knowing if you plan to follow the record from day one.
On “Una sola”, Celona composes and produces as well as singing. Vocal recording and mixing are by Alex Brinken, and mastering is by M.A. Spaventi.
There is a wait until 11 December. With this single as the sample, it feels worth it.
