Barcelona Events October 2026: Fontaines D.C. and a shoegaze festival before Halloween
October finds Barcelona’s venues running at full capacity. This Barcelona Events October 2026, put together from the listings Radar Underground sends us, spreads the month across Ist Ist and Yard Act, a shoegaze festival at Sala Upload, Fontaines D.C. at Sant Jordi Club and a 31st with more Halloween parties than one night can hold. Tribute acts turn up all month, and The Strokes already have the sold-out sign up at Palau Sant Jordi. Here is the calendar, week by week.
4 to 9 October: grunge, new wave and a label party at Upload
The month opens on Sunday 4th at La Deskomunal with Like a Stone, a combined tribute to Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Audioslave, Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, at 6.30pm. On Wednesday 7th, Then Jerico play Sala Wolf at 8pm with a mix of alt rock, pop rock and new wave. Thursday 8th offers two plans: Gazella and Rey don Perro in Apolo’s La (2), shoegaze and dream pop from 7.45pm, and Ant Colony at Sala Vol at 8.30pm, with britpop and indie rock.
Friday 9th is the first big day. The Prison Records Party puts RMFC, Split System, Lothario, Dark Thoughts, Useless Eaters, Patrol, Flippeur, The Caries Company, DJs Assassani, Usuario, Maquita and Falsetto de Dios into Sala Upload from 8pm, across punk rock, garage, post-punk and hard rock. At Freedonia, Terper and Radio83 take the darker end of the night (darkwave, electronic and post-punk, 8.30pm), and at Sala Wolf, DM Experience go through the Depeche Mode catalogue at 9pm.
Saturday 10th: indie pop, new beat and a free night at Diobar
Sala Taro opens Saturday at 6pm with Hey! Indie Pop Club (Luis Le Nuit and Nacho Ruiz), and Magnífico Club, with Viktor Ollé and Waaax, debuts a new home at Karma Disco, also at 6pm. Later, Freedonia stages Apología de un quiebre with Consentido (8.45pm) and 80% Baul (9.30pm), post-punk, synthwave and new beat. Dead Guiris play Sala Slow at 9pm with hard rock and grunge, and Dance! To The Underground closes the night at Diobar at 11.30pm, free entry.
13 to 16 October: post-punk gigs in Barcelona, led by Ist Ist
On Tuesday 13th, Ist Ist arrive at Sala Upload at 8pm with post-punk, darkwave and gothic rock. It is the date closest to this magazine’s audience in a thin week of listings. On Thursday 15th, Freedonia books Mermados and Los Restauro (punk rock and anarcopunk, 8.30pm), and on Friday 16th Sala Taro hosts Jeune Senior Weekend with Crit DJs at 8pm, somewhere between indie rock, post-punk and new wave.
16 to 18 October: Mandivula, Teenage Fanclub and a packed Saturday
Friday 16th adds Mandivula and LaDivina at Freedonia (8.30pm) to Jeune Senior Weekend, with post-punk, darkwave, electronic, shoegaze and industrial. It is the darkest option of the day. Saturday 17th has the most going on in the second half of the month. Magnífico presents Back to the 80’s with Albert Code and Linn at Karma Disco at 6pm, Teenage Fanclub play Sala Razzmatazz 2 at 7pm (alt rock, power pop and indie rock), and Las Novias and Serch. share a bill at Sala Wolf at 7.30pm, somewhere between post-punk, gothic rock and new wave. At Freedonia, La Sagrera and Colmillo play at 8.30pm with post-punk, indie rock and shoegaze. Later, Sala River hosts the Pop’n’Wave Party from the Depeche Mode Barcelona Fanclub at 11pm. On Sunday 18th, Nice Guys close the stretch with their Green Day tribute at La Nau at 8pm, punk rock.
20 to 23 October: Yard Act, The Strokes and an indie stretch
Tuesday 20th brings two gigs of very different scale. Yard Act and Lava La Rue play Apolo at 7.30pm (post-punk, britpop, alt rock), and The Strokes play Palau Sant Jordi at 8.30pm, sold out. On Wednesday 21st, Band of Horses take Sala Razzmatazz at 8.30pm, and on Thursday 22nd MADEE does the same at La Nau.
Friday 23rd splits three ways. BALONCESTO and Boys Kissing Boys play Sidecar (indie rock and punk-pop, 8.30pm). Musarañas Records X Spellbound Sessions brings Draftcollector and Pepe Damas to Sala River, with DJs Dispël and Alice Hale, at 8.30pm. And Buzz Lovers pay tribute to Nirvana at Sarau 08911 at 11.30pm.
Saturday 24th: Upload’s shoegaze festival and Fontaines D.C.
This is the busiest day of the month. The Loveless Shoegaze Festival takes over Sala Upload from 8pm with Slow Crush, Bum Motion Club, Pale Blue Eyes, Dharmacide, Salvana, Golden Bug and Revendless. Fontaines D.C. play Sant Jordi Club at 8.45pm, post-punk and indie rock, so the two start at almost the same time and you will have to choose.
There is more on offer. Declan Welsh & The Decadent West are at Sala Wolf at 8pm (indie rock, punk rock, post-punk revival and britpop), and The Lizards and Spitfire Scream play punk rock at Sala Vol at 7.45pm.
30 and 31 October: Halloween in Barcelona
On Friday 30th, Rebel Punk brings Ana Curra, Sistema de Entretenimiento and Jota Carajota to Sala Salamandra at 8pm, covering punk, electro-pop, synth and arcade punk. Later, Cured, a tribute to The Cure, play Sarau 08911 at 11.30pm with post-punk, new wave and gothic rock.
Saturday 31st is Halloween night, and the listings cover nearly every taste. Magnífico Club holds its Halloween Special Party with Viktor Ollé and Luis Le Nuit at Karma Disco at 6pm, and Supernova pay tribute to Oasis at Sala Continental at 9pm. For the dark circuit, Undead Dark Club runs Halloween 2026 with DJ Luismi from 10pm (post-punk, gothic, electro dark, synthpop and industrial). Sinestesia Bar hosts the Skeletal 80’s Party with Soranyx and César Malpertuis and DJ Cobra at 11.30pm, free entry with a voluntary reverse ticket office. Fiesta Atomic closes the night at Sala Parallel 62 at midnight, with Maadraassoo, Siamiss, Albert Code and Mmmeel on the decks (new wave, britpop, glam and post-punk).
